Help Andy Keep Smiling. "I just like to make people smile." - Andy. If you've ever met Andy, you know that isn't just something he says. It's how he lives his life. Around his family, they call him Bubba. His friends know him as the guy who can make anyone laugh, organize an adventure at the last minute, or easily convince everyone that waking up at 4:00 a.m. to volunteer at a soup kitchen is the perfect way to celebrate his birthday. He's the comedian of every friend group, the creative mind always building something ridiculous, whether that's converting a 90s dog-washing van into a camper, inventing a swamp cooler for Burning Man, dreaming up an outrageous costume, or figuring out how to bring an idea to life. More importantly, he's the friend who shows up. The one who listens without judgment, lends a hand without hesitation, and genuinely wants the people around him to smile. On June 13, 2026, life threw Andy something none of us saw coming. He was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma and immediately began chemotherapy. And somehow, even then, he was still Andy. When his doctor explained everything ahead of him, Andy's response included joking that he'd have to miss his 10th Burning Man this year. That's who he is. Even in one of the hardest moments of his life, he's still finding ways to make everyone else smile. The outlook is encouraging, and we're incredibly hopeful for a full recovery. But cancer doesn't just take a physical toll. It brings overwhelming financial challenges as well. Because of treatment, Andy is unable to work. Between medical bills, lost income, rent, travel to appointments, meals, and caring for the home he shares with his wonderful girlfriend, three dogs, and two cats, the expenses add up quickly. Anyone who knows Andy knows he'd be the first person to show up when someone's in need. He has spent his life giving his time, his energy, his laughter, and his heart to the people around him.
