Meaghan Nichols

Meaghan was diagnosed with Melanoma, in 2005. Surgery fixed her stage 0 Insitu, 20 years ago, but then in 2019 she had a reoccurrence. Her biopsy showed that it wasn’t from her original location, it now showed cancer in her back and now Stage IV melanoma. All of this was just hours after she learned, she was pregnant! She gave birth to her son, Owen and also had to begin her first clinical trial, in LA. Good news followed soon after, in January of 2021!! She was told, she was cancer free (NED). Unfortunately, in November 2021, the immunotherapy attacked her brain leaving her with disabilities that changed her lifestyle completely. By June of 2023, they found 2 melanoma tumors in her brain. They did radiation at the time which caused some bleeding in her brain, leaving her with more complications. Due to the bleeding in her brain, Meaghan began having seizures. On July 10th 2024, she had brain surgery to remove one of the larger tumors and some of the bleeding. The current plans, are to start more radiation to her brain, where the current tumor remains. Over the years, Meaghan has endured surgeries, chemo, immunotherapy, and radiation but she continues to fight for her family! “We’re mostly trying to get our house more accessible. We recently got a ramp put in at the front door. Next on the list is various grab bars throughout the house.” Meaghan’s husband replies. Any donations to the Nichols family, would go towards Meaghan’s medical expenses & the bills. Also, here's some items that may help her get through her treatments, daily things or just because!
