Nicole’s (knotandsplice) Cancer Wishlist

My name is Nicole and I am living with de novo metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (stage 4). I am currently in active treatment (adjuvant ADC/chemo targeted therapy, post mastectomy). I try to live a life of purpose and cancer has gifted me the appreciation for small things and being in the moment. I am currently an active MBC patient advocate at SABCS and a volunteer with the breast cancer survivor founded Twisted Pink organization. I am also training to be a Lily Tiger Angel Ambassador. I pay it forward as much as possible to other cancer patients and friends with cancer. Some things I love: whimsy, fairies, plushies and blind boxes (pop mart, squish mallows, small business plushies like Brett Manning), art supplies like water color/gel pens/kawaii stuff, journaling items, makeup (clean products and natural like saie, kosas, rituel defille, heretic perfume), beeswax candles, gluten free treats (I am celiac), low sugar candy (Smart Sweets), and drinks like olipop. I like nostalgic things like carebears, strawberry shortcake, rainbow brite, Gem & the holograms, Polly pocket, Nommi and Labubu. And also alt goth makeup and moody alt clean makeup brands like Rituel Defille. I like a wide variety of music and art, and have loved going to the symphony in Nashville for a couple concerts. I especially love intuitive art (formerly “outsider art”), handmade mail and cards and anything I can hang on my studio wall that makes me remember people care and I gotta keep going (on the hard days). I also collect jewelry books esp if I can find any on wax carving. But I do have a lot of those and don’t need more. Thank you for indulging me in this page…cancer really sucks and the dopamine and serotonin feels nonexistent for me through my two weeks of chemo on some of my days that are less sparkly, so the little treats and surprises in the week help my recovery so much. And remind me to keep going. It’s worth it. Keep believing.
